THE BIOGRAPHY OF CHUCK FLORENCE

Chuck Florence is one of Montana's most respected jazz saxophonists who came here via Detroit, Vegas and Los Angeles.   Mr. Florence has quite a diverse career, which has included performances with Joe Williams, Jackie Byard, Larry Ridley, Roy Haynes, James Moody, Nat Adderly, Richie Cole, Larry Coryell, Joe Lovano and Alan Dawson.  In addition to solo guest performances, Chuck continues to travel, emphasizing concerts, workshops and master classes in communities and schools.

 

THE BIOGRAPHY OF BRIAN PLOEGER

Brian Ploeger is a member of the music faculty at Spokane Falls Community College, teaching Improvisation and Private Trumpet and directs a Jazz Combo.   Ploeger toured internationally as a featured soloist with Maynard Ferguson's Big Bop Nouveau Band and the Glenn Miller Orchestra and has recorded with Michael Feinstein and Maynard Ferguson. Other credits include The Platters, 5th Dimension, Ben Vereen, Four Freshman, Eartha Kitt, The Spinners, Petula Clark, Jim Neighbors and others.   Brian is also a member of the music faculty at Whitworth College .
